Several months (mid December 2009) ago, my Aunt was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She was given about 3 months to live as the type of cancer that she had was very aggressive. During her stay in the hospital, her 3 daughters spent as much time as possible with her.
There were several events that happened that confirmed “the process” of dying that I have come to understand takes place when one goes through this type of crossover. For example, she immediately started to see my Uncle who had passed away about 12 years earlier.
My cousin asked me why my Aunt was asking for her husband as if he was still alive – as if he had been in the hospital room with her and had just left. Because of my abilities, research and knowledge, I was able to explain to her that when the energy is separating from the physical body, those in Spirit appear just as “real” as those in physical – they have form and density. It becomes very difficult to tell the difference between those she would be seeing in physical and those in Spirit. My Uncle was there to help make her transition easier.
All of us hated seeing my Aunt in pain and suffering. My cousin asked me if I knew when she would pass away. I told her that I did not know but later that day as I was sitting around thinking about it, one of my Guides came through and said, “It will be a Winter funeral” which meant it would happen prior to March 21st. I emailed my cousin and told her what I heard but to take it with a “grain of salt” as timelines are not usually accurate. Now, this timeline matched what the doctors estimated so it might actually be accurate.
A couple of days ago (March 7th), my cousin phoned to let me know that my Aunt had passed away that morning. It was truly a blessing as she was suffering and nobody wanted to see her go through that – nobody should have to go through that type of suffering. While she was talking to me, I was seeing my Aunt standing with her arm around my Uncle. She was so happy.
Now, I don’t normally share what I see or am told – it really depends on the situation but there was a sense of urgency to the vision - it would not go away and since my cousin is open to metaphysics I told her what I was seeing. I said that my Aunt’s energy was really, really happy – it was the same energy that she had when we had the family dinners and she would have a few drinks and would be giggling and laughing like a schoolgirl. While I was sharing my message, I got pleasant tingles all over my body.
The funeral was yesterday (so yes, it was a Winter funeral). It’s odd how funerals become social events. I was able to see a lot of relatives that I had not seen in years. My cousin Davey asked me if I had seen the wedding limousine that passed us all on the drive to the cemetery. I had not. He then said, “Doesn’t that say it all, the end of life and the beginning of life.”
Back at my Aunt’s house (after the funeral) my cousin told me that she had spoken to her friend who is a psychic and that friend told her that when her mother passed away, she would receive a message within a couple of days that would let her know that her mother was fine and happy. She told me that she just spoke to that friend again and complaining because she never received any message. As they were talking, she suddenly remembered the conversation that we had the day she called me and it hit her that she did receive the message but was just so caught up in all of the events of the day, she did not realize it.
Being able to share my knowledge and vision with my cousin was definitely a benefit of having these abilities. It brought her some sense of peace and understanding.

What It's Like To Be Psychic - Laughing At Myself
These day-to-day "happenings" are things that I just take for granted and don't really pay much attention to anymore, but since I am focusing on letting you into "my world" of what it's like to be psychic,I thought I would share...
I am sitting at my desk doing readings - getting caught up. My next reading is a past life and they can be quite detailed and long so I figure I will use my "Dragon Naturally" voice recognition software. It really does make life so much easier. I just speak into the headphones and it types out my words. Yes, I do have to fix it up a bit but for the most part, it eases the amount of typing I have to do which is a great relief for sore fingers.
The problem with using this method is that about a year ago, I broke the headset in two pieces. It still works but the voice-piece is separate from the ear-piece so before using it I have to put the two together. Quite often, the 2 separate pieces get strewn about my desk and I have to search them out before using it. And to confuse things even more, I now have another headset with a USB connection that I use for my Webinars and I tend to toss them around as well.
Now back to my story...I can see from the connection that the voice-piece for my headset is on the printer next to the other headphone and a bunch of other papers. So I grab the voice-piece and now I have to find the ear-piece. I then start moving papers around and shuffling the mess in an attempt to locate the other part so I can continue the readings.
As I am doing this and saying to myself, "now where is that other piece, maybe I put it..." I hear over top of my own thought one of my Guides cut in and say very calmly, "It's in your hand." So I stop in mid-action and look down at my hand and sure enough, I have both pieces in my hand. Duh! Very attentive Wendy - good attention to detail...NOT!! I break out into laughter at my own stupidity.
At least I am able to laugh at myself. Perhaps that is old age catching up with me, or hopefully just that I've got so much on my mind that I missed that one! Regardless of the reason why, I am very glad that I had that contact to Spirit because it saved me a lot of time looking for "the glasses that were sitting on top of my head"!
Quite often, my Guides will help me out when I am trying to find things around the house. It makes like so much easier.
