This week's episode of Medium was quite thought provoking. Alison (the lead psychic lead character of the show) is given the ability to see how many days someone had left to live. She simply put on a pair of glasses and the number of days would appear on the person's forehead.
Two thoughts came to mind as I watched this program:
1. Oh my God, what an awful ability to have.
2. Wow, how clinical life becomes when you see it in such a blatant timeline format.
Being a psychic, I am often privy to information about others that is not very pleasant. I have been told of people that would die from certain diseases even though I was not told exact dates. It is not a nice thing to know. You can't really do anything with the information because knowing how things work, you can't be sure if what you are being told is literal or down to interpretation. So you are basically in a position of having to wait and see. You can give "subtle" hints to people or encourage them in a certain direction but that's about it.
When you see the timeline on someone's forehead like that, it really tends to emphasize one's life path. Logically, I know everyone has a life path and a certain amount of time in which to accomplish all of his or her spiritual goals but to see a "countdown" was quite disconcerting in a way.
Anyway, did anyone else see the show? If so, what did you think of having that type of ability and would you want to know how long each person had to live.

Endings are New Beginnings
It is not usual for someone to become upset when there is an "ending" in one's life. Endings can be very emotional. Feeling extreme happiness or sadness that something is over is quite common and just prior to the ending, there is usually a roller coaster of emotions that can be quite tiring.
It is important to remember that when there is an ending, there is always a new beginning.
Endings should not be looked at with a frown for there are normally better things planned for a person.
Endings represent the closing of one door to a person, a place, a lesson or karma. By closing those doors, one is often freed on some level although it may not be apparent at the time. The understanding of why the ending occurred usually happens down the road.
There may also be down time or a rest period as a person adjusts to the new beginnings. It is all normal. Holding onto the past only prevents the good from coming.
There may be more lessons in the offing but the good will come eventually. The key is to believe and to keep the faith. Trust that the good is coming no matter what. It is that hope that keeps one going and it is a necessity for life.
