So I was talking to my sister the other day for a few hours and we were reminiscing about some of the funny things that happened to us as we started to develop our abilities.
We had just learned about when Spirits or entities build on a physical person and were sharing the concept with a friend. We wanted to experiment with the idea.
For those of you who are not familiar with the process...one person sits quietly and the other person or people focus all of their attention on the face of the person sitting quietly. This is normally done during a meditation group and it needs to be done using prayer and protection - you don't want a negative entity building on anyone!
When an entity starts to "build" on the person, the others will see that entity and will normally see the features of the person change. The person who is being built on may feel changes as well - for example, if someone is building on a female that has a beard or mustache, she may feel a bit itchy because of the spiritual facial hair.
Others may see different eye colour, hair styles, hair colour or the shape of the face may change. One might even see a smile on someone who is not smiling or the mouth moving as those in Spirit are speaking. It is a lot of fun.
This one time, Elaine (my sister) was seeing who could build on Vic (a friend). We tried the activity for a few minutes. When we stopped, we asked Elaine if she could see any changes in Vic's face. She turned to us and said, "No, there weren't any changes except maybe his beard got darker."
Vic and I looked at each other and laughed and then we turned to Elaine to point out that Vic didn't have a beard. We all started laughing and this started many other experiments.
This is something that you can try with a partner - just make sure that you say a protection prayer before doing the exercise to ensure you are only dealing with positive entities.

The Lake House - Great Spiritual Lessons
Last night I watched the movie "The Lake House" with Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves. Wow! What a fantastic movie to see so many spiritual concepts in action.
The movie is about two people who start communicating by mail but they live in 2 different time dimensions - about 2 years apart. Through this communication, they fall in love. Yes, it is a bit of a chick flick but there are spiritual theories and concepts taking place throughout the movie.
I think the most important message in this movie is about learning to live in the moment. When you live in the moment, events take place that take you to your dreams and your desires. When you live for the "what might be" way of thinking, you end up pushing what you desire further away.
You will learn how "trying to make something happen" doesn't always work. In fact, quite often it can work against you. Living in the moment will often get you to where you want to be faster.
The movie shows you how destiny plays a role in your life and how when things are meant to be - they are meant to be - nothing is impossible.
If you haven't already seen this movie, please see it and let me know what you think of it. If you have already seen it, let me know what you think of it but don't give away the ending!

Whatever You Do - Don't Live in Egypt!
I was listening to my friend share her internet dating stories and couldn't believe how many people live in Egypt! That's my favourite catch phrase..."are you living in Egypt?" or "I see you are living in Egypt?" or "Yes, I've been to Egypt several times".
The fact is, most people live in Egypt at some time in their lives and some live there mostly all of there lives.
When you live in Egypt, you live right next to or are closely linked to "the Nile" (de-nial). That's right. Instead of believing what is going on in front of your face, you choose to live in denial - you tell yourself things will change and things will get better. You believe that waiting a little bit longer or doing something different will change the situation. And while this indeed might be true, if you have tried the same approach before and have not seen the desired results you are probably living in Egypt.
Listen to what people say. Watch their actions. Do they match? If your partner says "I love you, you are the most important thing in the world to me" and then goes out with friends when you have just told him or her that you need to spend more time together...the actions do NOT match the words. Actions must match the words and words must match the actions.
Try basing YOUR actions and decisions on what is happening right in front of your face. Live in the moment and not for what you hope might happen at some point. Don't live in fear of change because you are afraid of what may or may not happen in the future. Take a chance and change your life for the better. If something is destined to be and meant to happen, circumstance will ensure that it does!
